Peer Network Coordinator

Key Role:

Coordinate, analyze, and evaluate programs and services that contribute directly and positively to preservation of the assigned military unit’s force and families. Organize and oversee peer support networks for the assigned command to accommodate service members and families. Recruit active duty and family member peer support counselors and ensure participating peer support counselors are vetted and trained according to standards established by the DoD and client. Provide information and community resources, including DoD-sponsored peer support counseling networks, clinical and non-clinical behavioral healthcare, supportive counseling, financial management resources, childcare, and others, as appropriate to peer support counselors and members of their assigned units and families. Collect and report data for the purposes of formative and outcome evaluations of peer support programs and other community-based programs. Collect original data and date from secondary sources in support of program assessments. Develop needs based on programming to serve specific demographic groups and geographic locations.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with coordinating social service education programs

-Experience with peer support counseling, community resources and referrals, and suicide prevention

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree or 6+ years of experience with providing social services education, including work or family life consultation or coordination services in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Secret clearance
