Personnel Recovery Subject Matter Expert

Key Role:

Advise on the development of the Commands Personnel Recovery support plan and ensure all Personnel Recovery (PR) considerations are addressed to enhance the readiness and survivability of Component Command’s warfighters in the execution of their missions in the Indo-Pacific region. Develop points of contact (POCs) with Component Commands, Joint Personnel Recovery Center (JPRC), and Host Nation Personnel Recovery unit managers. Analyze PR communications and recommend procedures to ensure the timely flow and protection of PR-related information. Evaluate Components PR reporting requirements, including standard notification process and activation and deactivation procedures. Assist with exercising the PR system to ensure personnel can execute their PR functions and meet the Commander’s vision. Coordinate and facilitate meetings, conferences, and planning teams with service components, foreign militaries, and foreign government organizations.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in a PR-related field, including tactical operator and commander or Personnel Recovery Office of Personnel Recovery Staff

-Experience with Service, Joint Staff, or an equivalent level

-Knowledge of Air Force organization, tasks, operational capabilities, concepts of operations, and training requirements

-Ability to lead and facilitate military working groups

-Ability to work collaboratively with other services and foreign governments and militaries

-Ability to brief high-level program initiatives

-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree

-Professional Military Education at the intermediate level or equivalent

Additional Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience in a PR-related field, including tactical operator and commander or Personnel Recovery Office of Personnel Recovery Staff

-3+ years of experience as staff or equivalent level

-Knowledge of the PACOM AOR

-Knowledge of Japanese language and customs

-Top Secret clearance

-Experience as a rated aviator, including UH-1, HH-60, C-130, A-10, or F-16 with PR and Sandy

-MA or MS degree

-Professional Military Education at the senior level or equivalent

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
