Portfolio Management Lead, Senior

Key Role:
Apply expertise in communication to lead the transformation of a large CMS organization’s portfolio management (PfM) processes and culture. Help drive the strategic direction for developing a PfM approach across the organization. Develop relationships with stakeholders, including client teams, partnering with them to provide guidance on operations and processes, champion and model PfM processes, and update stakeholders on progress, analyze the development of new principles and concepts, work on unusually complex technical problems, and provide highly innovative solutions. Work towards predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Determine and pursue the courses of action necessary to obtain preferred results. Assess client requirements and seek opportunities to apply technologies to business processes. Maintain responsibility for the management and direction of portfolio management and complete assignments that are often self-initiated and ensure work is checked through consultation and agreement with others.

Basic Qualifications: 

-6+ years of experience as an IT information systems manager or analyst
-3+ years of experience in a strategy, portfolio management, planning, design, implementation, or operations role within a large IT organization  

-Experience with implementing a portfolio management approach across a large organization

-Experience with enterprise-level transformation and change management 

-Experience with release planning and execution 
-Ability to obtain a security clearance 

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:  

-Experience with delivering high velocity projects

-Experience in leading and supporting technology strategies and roadmap execution in client environments for alignment with overall goals and objectives

-Experience with learning and using emerging technologies, concepts, and patterns to develop proof of concepts, assessment tools, and transformation roadmaps

-Knowledge of Cloud, DevOps, Agile, Big Data, design thinking, Agile Software Delivery, or similar areas preferred

-Knowledge of business case analysis, business process analysis, business transformation, organizational change management, or a similar area preferred

-Knowledge of IT requirements analysis, operations and logistics, organizational analysis and design, performance management, program management, and project management preferred 

-Ability to demonstrate expertise in project management and multi-task, prioritize, meet short-turn deadlines, and collaborate across the team and business

-Ability to build trusted relationships across stakeholders to better align IT and business priorities to formulate and execute short- long-term strategies

-Ability to research, conceptualize, and create IT strategy tools and products tailored for clients’ initiatives and organizational needs

-Ability to learn new technical concepts, practices, and principles on the fly  

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
