Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Engineer

Key Role:

Serve as a strategic consultant for government research and development programs regarding precision navigation and timing. Work with world-class scientists and engineers in driving forward research to develop new applications for novel technologies and transition cutting-edge science and engineering for new and existing applications to programs of record. Apply expertise in position, navigation, and timing (PNT) to the exploration of new technology concepts and the identification of knowledge gaps in need of investment and assist with monitoring and managing program progress for performance, risks, and issues. Produce and present findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients, assist with technical program management and program development, and brief materials out for government research and development (R&D) efforts.

Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with PNT, GPS, or electronic communication systems

-Experience with navigation technologies using multiple PNT inputs

-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with developing and applying design methods, theories, and research techniques for the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems.

-Experience with planning, conducting, and directing projects to produce viable prototypes and proof-of-concepts rapidly

-Experience with establishing and reviewing new acquisition directives, including analysis of project plans, schedules, cost estimates, policy compliance, risks, and performance metrics

-Experience with conducting integration and tests of considerable complexity

-Experience with reviewing literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects to generate comprehensive, publishable technical reports

-Experience with challenges in the Cyber domain that need solutions and developing such solutions

-Experience with evaluating vendor capabilities and performances to provide required products or services

-Experience with large, iterative software development programs
-Experience with leading ACAT IpPrograms
-Experience with military C4ISR systems
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
-MA or MS degree
-DAWIA Level II Program Manager Certification or Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) Program Management Level II Certification or higher
-Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

-Agile Certified Practitioner
