You Have:

  • Experience with power electronics components and topologies
  • Experience with medium and high voltage systems
  • Knowledge of multiple physical fields, including electrical, magnetic, thermal, and mechanical
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to travel domestically 10% to 15% of the time
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • MA or MS degree and 15 years of experience in an industry role related to power electronic systems or Ph.D. with 5+ years of experience with postdoctoral, academic experience, or roles related to power electronic systems

Nice If You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences on research related to grid integration of electronic systems
  • Experience with software and controls development for smart grid architectures
  • Experience with grid-connected power electronic inverters or converters
  • Experience with the design or application of wide bandgap devices, including SiC and GaN
  • Experience with analytical control design and power electronics simulation tools
  • Experience with integrated circuit manufacturing process
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of IEEE standards for power quality
  • Ability to exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and work in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to be a proactive problem solver and work independently
  • Ability to travel for technical discussions
  • Possession of excellent client service, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent time management skills to multi-task efficiently and effectively
