Privacy Policy Specialist

Key Role:

Apply comprehension of privacy policy to assisting with the structured assessment, integration, assignment, tracking, and execution of tasks necessary to accomplish privacy policy. Provide expert-level support for enterprise-wide program facilitation and implementation, including investigating reported privacy concerns, current trends and emerging privacy developments, training and education implementation, and agency collaboration and communication. Make recommendations on how to capitalize on opportunities to improve client performance. Examine complex privacy issues and advise on the development of specific cost reduction solutions and business case analyses to support transformation efforts.


Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with representing an agency on privacy issues

-Experience with planning and organizing several major projects simultaneously

-Experience with communicating ideas and recommendations to senior government officials in a manner that supports acceptance of positions

-Ability to apply analytical and evaluative methods to conducting reviews and studies of agency privacy programs and making recommendations for privacy program improvements

-Ability to communicate in writing sufficiently, including preparing privacy program documentation, briefs, reports, analyses, training materials, e-mails, Web site information, and required notices

-Ability to assist with the structured assessment, integration, assignment, tracking, and execution of tasks necessary to accomplish a privacy policy

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with applying Privacy Act, FISMA and e-Government requirements and guidelines to solve complex problems and legal issues related to privacy independently

-Knowledge of the Agency's statutory obligations, functions, and legal programs and operations pursuant to the Privacy Act of 1974 and Executive Order 12333

-Knowledge of applicable tools, methodologies, or best practices relevant to the role

-Ability to collaborate and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals both internally and externally

-Ability to obtain a Current Certified Information Privacy Professional for US Government (CIPP/G) Certification within 6 months of hire

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
