Procurement Specialist, Mid

Key Role:

Support government procurement requirements across all federal agencies. Support proposal activities for all product bill of material pricing by aiding in source selection and obtaining vendor quotes and strategic thought. Award and administer purchase orders in accordance with Booz Allen Hamilton policies and all Federal Acquisition Regulations. Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers and review and negotiate license agreements. Handle complex single and sole source procurement's in an R&D environment. Handle multiple complex requirements in a high demand environment to meet critical deadlines. Provide guidance to client staff on the electronic systems.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with procurement

-Experience with e–procurement systems in ARIBA

-Experience with evaluating requirements for hardware and software in support of US government client contracts

-Experience with soliciting suppliers via RFP, RFQ, and verbal requests

-Experience in negotiating with suppliers to obtain COTS products at most favorable terms, quantity, price, and delivery

-Knowledge of broad–based supplier, product, and market knowledge

-Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, including consent and notification, CAS, TINA, small business requirements, price analysis, commercial item determination, and source justifications

-Knowledge of Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) procedures

-Ability to receive and evaluate proposals, quotations, and bids for required products

-BA degree or 5+ years of experience with procurement

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with providing procurement support to provide bill of material pricing support to client proposal efforts by aiding in source selection and obtaining vendor quotes

-Experience with handling complex single and sole source procurement's, including those aligned to an R&D environment

-Experience with preparing purchase orders and changes for required products

-Experience with maintaining procurement documentation in compliance with all federal regulations governing records retention

-Experience in maintaining communications with suppliers during the course of procurement

-Experiencing in assisting employees with adhering to established policies and procedures

-Possession of excellent customer service skills
