Program Management/Communications Support Specialist

Key Role:

Provide program management and executive communications support to the client. Provide support to senior government leadership, develop communications strategies, and prepare briefing materials for events and meetings, including Flag-level briefs, internal and external communications, talking points, articles, newsletters, and e-mails to the workforce. Develop and maintain relationships, coordinating across PMO, Program Executive Office, and DoN organizations, and manage and facilitate data calls, assigned actions, and recurring meetings. Perform as the task lead for an assigned project and maintain responsibility for tracking of cost, schedule, and performance.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with supporting DoD, civil, or industry clients

-3+ years of experience in the strategic communication field, including change management, content development, Web strategy, and implementation planning

-Experience with program management across the acquisition life cycle

-Experience with developing and executing a communications plan

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite to summarize technical information from multiple sources and pull together disparate information into a cohesive story

-Experience with editing and performing quality control of reports, presentations, and other documents

-Ability to work with senior government officials under tight deadlines and translate ideas and concepts into professional communication products, including speeches, talking points, PowerPoint presentations, articles, emails to staff, and other communication products, as needed

-Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications

-Experience with DoN acquisition

-Knowledge of DoD, DoN, and SPAWAR Program Office constructs

-Possession of excellent problem analysis and problem-solving skills

-Project Management Professional (PMP), DAWIA PM Level II, or equivalent certification
