Program Manager

Key Role:
Assist the program manager by analyzing the management of day-to-day program activities, including integrated master scheduling, contract actions, such as proposal technical evaluations and estimating materials and labor hours, resolving action items, executing requirements and plans, managing technical and program issues, developing comprehensive risk assessment and mitigation plans, and providing test support, such as operational assessments of advanced technologies. Analyze the development of the acquisition program documentation required by DoD 5000 series, including supporting program efforts and acquisition milestones and reviews and applying expertise in streamlining acquisition policies and procedures and program management. Analyze the definition, development, documentation, and management of user requirements, including building on the existing requirements management processes to identify, review, and approve the inherent and new capability needs to support a larger user community and enterprise objectives, such as assisting with conducting Industry Days, user and requirement working groups, and analyzing implementation strategies. Analyze the development of strategies and associated budgets to efficiently and effectively execute programs, planning, facilitation, coordination of agendas, action items, and technical and program issues regarding management, technical, and test reviews, including requirements and design reviews, audits, and requirements meetings. Analyze the development and execution of strategies and budgets to execute programs efficiently. Monitor the effectiveness of achieving program and enterprise goals and objectives, including monitoring cost, schedule and technical performance and associated risks. Update briefings and reports, as required.
 

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with government acquisitions
-Experience with software or IT program cost, schedule, or technical management required
-Experience with Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word required
-Knowledge of DoD 5000 Series defense acquisition system documentation
-Ability to work effectively in a leadership-type role, work independently with minimal supervision, and engage with and advise government and contractor support proactively
-Top Secret clearance required
-BA or BS degree
 

Additional Qualifications: 
-Ability to conduct frequent CONUS travel on an average of 2-4 days per month
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-TS/SCI clearance
-MA or MS degree preferred

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
