Program Maturation Lead

Key Role:

Work with the program manager to apply organizational management techniques to identify ways to mature the Transition Assistance Program. Support world-wide program sustainment in support of over 226,000 transitioning Servicemembers across more than 317 installations within the Continental US (CONUS) and outside the Contiguous US (OCONUS) annually. Oversee complex and high-risk programs and projects. Lead the team through all phases, including concept, development, implementation, and closeout. Oversee the work breakdown structure, critical path, and change control. Supervise staff and analyze the budget, schedules, and project operations. Ensure that required resources are available. Serve as a liaison the program and project sponsor, customers, and other stakeholders and maintain responsibility for program growth.

Basic Qualifications:

-12+ years of experience in a professional work environment

-Experience with successfully directing and controlling the activities of one or more large programs, including 100+ FTE

-Experience with engaging with related agencies at a senior level

-Experience with leading the development of strategic, operational and tactical plans and to define opportunities for improvement for client’s operations

-Experience with leading internal and external client meetings and presentations

-Ability to provide oversight to staff at all levels

-Ability to serve as senior problem-solver using structured methods of problem-solving

-Ability to develop and write technical reports, analysis, and whitepapers

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in working with the US Army, US Navy, Marine Corp, or US Air Force as a support contractor

-Experience with the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Transition Assistance Program (TAP)

-BA or BS degree in a related field
