Project Controls Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Leverage expertise in building, maintaining, and launching data models using Excel or industry database applications, and leading process improvement initiatives to effectively communicate critical organizational health metrics to internal and external stakeholders. Work with a multi-disciplinary team of project controllers, developers, and users to evaluate data requirements to design and develop new tools, processes, and dashboards for DoD clients. Bring forward and implement new concepts using project management methodologies, including scope management, risk and change management. Publish information to a collaboration sites for use by DoD personnel and provide support to junior colleagues for data collection and maintaining organizational processes. This position is located in San Diego, CA.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with using project management methodologies, including scope management and risk and change management to implement organizational changes

-Experience with providing data-driven solutions knowledge and critical thinking to recommend both short and long-term solutions based on client needs

-Experience with leading and supporting internal and external stakeholder teams through new product implementation

-Experience with data visualization tools, including Tableau or PowerBI, and designing and developing executive and operational dashboards and performing ad-hoc analyses

-Experience with Excel at an advanced level, including lookups, arrays, nested formulas, Power Query, and pivot tables

-Experience with preparing and delivering regular presentations for a range of audiences spanning from internal team strategy to management recommendations for senior leadership

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Java, Python, or equivalent modern programming language

-Experience with relational databases, including Microsoft Access or SQL Server and writing custom queries, building and maintaining tables or relationships, and managing data quality and standardization

-Ability to work independently to solve complex or ambiguous problems

-Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

-Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

-PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
