Project Engineer

Key Role:
Provide design engineer support for the development, operation, maintenance, and testing of complex technology systems for DoD weapon systems. Work closely with a lead project engineer to model and design weapon enabling technologies in CAD software. Interface with weapon analyst to analyze feasible technologies using various software tools. Prepare design specifications, analyses, and recommendations for presentation and approval. Maintain technical responsibility for planning, organizing, and conducting technical projects or phases of projects involving the design and development of new or improved product or processes. Investigate solutions to product or process problems.

Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with engineering software, including ANSYS and Workbench structural analysis software, CADSI or DADS dynamic simulation analysis software, and PTC ProEngineer, Creo CAD, or CAM software

-Experience with static and dynamic analysis development

-Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics Analysis
-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-Ability to work within a team environment

-BS degree in Mechanical Engineering

Additional Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with working with Creo software package

-Experience in weapon system operation, including muzzle brake function, spring and damper systems, and weapon dynamics

-Experience in the development and analysis of complex mechanical systems
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills to interface with the team and client
-Active Secret clearance
