Project Manager Office/Pacific Northwest EHR Deployment Lead

Key Role:

Support the deployment activities within the Pacific Northwest associated with the VA deployment of Cerner Millennium, as part of an established program management office for the VA's EHR modernization program. Apply knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analyses and recommendations to improve organizational performance through changes to strategy, organization structure, process, human capital or culture, IT, enterprise cost reduction, management practices, and cost drivers. Identify and capitalize on opportunities to improve client performance, including revenue or profitability and mission achievement. Contribute to the process for improving operations, including increasing process efficiency, examining complex systems and advising on the development of specific cost reduction solutions, and business case analyses to support transformation efforts. Conduct customer or stakeholder analysis and serve, as a practitioner with multiple areas of expertise, including providing leadership and mentoring to junior employees and contributing to the development of innovative principles and ideas, working on unusually complex problems, and providing highly creative solutions. Act as a leader on large programs or projects that affect the organization’s long-term goals and objectives.


Basic Qualifications:
-12+ years of experience with diverse IT projects, systems development life cycle, enterprise-wide network engineering, strategic information planning, including business process re-engineering, and structure and management practices
-Experience with program management for the federal government, including Project Management Office (PMO) support and program management professional fields
-Ability to identify and mitigate risks to the program
-Ability to manage to cost, schedule and performance
-BA or BS degree in Engineering, CS, Computer Systems, Business, or Technology or 10+ years of experience with program or project management in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
