Project Manager, Senior

Key Role: 
Work as a project manager supporting a federal agency’s office of IT (OIT) project regarding IT infrastructure, operations, and security remediation services. Lead a cross-functional team of 7 staff to support the office in the identification, evaluation, and remediation of activities associated with IT security vulnerabilities. Maintain primary oversight for the development and implementation of innovative strategic communications designed to support a Security program management office (PMO) on a variety of platforms, including content development, data gathering, analysis, and logistics coordination for OIT communications channels, events, and client meetings regarding the remediation of OIT security deficiencies or to support IT infrastructure and operations enhancements. Work with other technical or professional staff to create, design, and transmit complex technical information in the areas of IT and information security so that its intended audience can comprehend it easily and use it effectively and efficiently. Ensure SME and technical professionals' expertise is effectively captured, deliver a positive user experience, including right message, right audience, right medium, and right time, ensure quality and consistency on all products, help contain expenses and ensure a product is done right the first time, help client-facing teams refine and grow their expertise in writing and communication, minimize risk and avoid inaccuracy, including factual inaccuracy, legal issues, including copyright and liability, and ineffectiveness, including clarity of communication, ensure developed materials comply with industry or government regulations, including 508 compliance, and help meet contract requirements and firm standards. Oversee larger and more highly complex projects, assemble project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop, project schedules, and maintain responsibility for determining and acquiring needed resources. Apply expertise in the entire scope and requirements of projects and serves as a liaison between team members and functional area management requesting project. Incumbents often possess highly specialized knowledge in one or more specific technologies.
 

Basic Qualifications:
-8+ years of experience with facilitation, training, process reengineering, change management, business management techniques, organizational development, data modeling, or information system development methods and practices, including developing detailed project plans and executing through delivery
-Experience with Microsoft and Office 365 tools and applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
-Ability to achieve operational success in a complex and sometimes challenging client environment
-Ability to work with operational level staff, mid-level management, and senior-level leadership
-Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks
-Ability to quickly earn the trust of others and develop relationships across the organization, manage upwards, and seek feedback on a regular basis
-Public Trust clearance
-BA or BS degree
-PMP Certification
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Cybersecurity audits
-Experience with explaining information security and technical policy guidance documents, including risk frameworks and audit guides
-Experience with supporting Chief Information Officer or Chief Information Security Officer-level communication initiatives
-Knowledge of the Federal Information Security Act (FISMA), NIST governance, and the Annual Financial Statement Audit
-Possession of excellent analysis and project management skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Change Management Advanced Practitioner (CMAP) Certification
