Public Safety Policy Analyst

Key Role:
Work as part of an internal Booz Allen team, including providing stakeholder engagement and analysis, policy analysis, strategy implementation, and meeting or workshop design and planning expertise to support the client's federal, state, local, and tribal public safety emergency communications stakeholder coordination mission. Maintain responsibility for supporting meeting or workshop planning and stakeholder engagement efforts to design, execute, and facilitate meetings with federal, state, local, and tribal public safety or emergency communications officials, contributing to the development of project deliverables, including scoping, analyzing, monitoring, drafting, and editing while leveraging client service and task management expertise, and developing materials and tools to conduct in-depth discussion and engagement with stakeholders regarding emergency communications operations and technologies. Apply consulting expertise, including data collection, analysis, basic writing, listening, and note taking, leverage knowledge of public policy to help define project requirements, conduct analyses, and help to develop client solutions, support studies and meetings, document and compile notes, analyze data, guides, standard operating procedures, models, trackers, and publications, and apply oral and written communication expertise to develop project deliverables, including strategic plans, written reports and briefing slides, and discussions with clients and stakeholders as the lead.
 

Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience in a professional work environment
-Experience in working with public safety, law enforcement, emergency communications, or emergency management
-Experience with stakeholder or customer engagement or outreach
-Knowledge of communications technologies and the emergency communications field, including Broadband LTE, Land Mobile Radio, and 911
-Ability to obtain a security clearance required
-BA or BS degree required
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in working with federal, state, or local government clients
-Experience with working in a subcontracting environment
-Experience with working in an entrepreneurial environment
-Knowledge of current federal, state, or the local communications policy landscape and current rulemakings
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent analytical and diverse problem-solving skills
