Public Security Domain Consultant/Expert

Key Role:
Provide professional leadership and public security subject matter expertise, including crime prevention and response, traffic control and road safety, and infrastructure security. Support senior client meetings and provide input on relevant matters to enable the sectors’ overall transformation. Demonstrate expertise in superb client delivery by diplomatically coordinating and providing support to the client and various organizations which contribute to accomplishing the public security mission. Provide technical writing, guidance, advice, and training. Demonstrate expertise in teamwork by collaborating with onsite assigned personnel. This position is located in MENA with limited visits back to the US.


Basic Qualifications:

-20+ years of experience as a US military officer at the O6 to GO/FO level with interagency, national, or international public security agencies and programs

-10+ years of experience in civilian or federal or state law enforcement agencies with crime prevention, traffic safety, and infrastructure security sectors

-Experience with providing federal civilian agency or military expertise in one or more of the following areas: executive expertise in federal, state, or local governmental public security regulatory laws, policies, and procedures; security assistance and cooperation in planning, forecasting, and coordinating Foreign Military Sales (FMS) teams and international military education and training programs to improve public security capabilities; planning, directing, and assessing crime prevention and response organizations at the state or federal level for both persons or property; overseeing and assessing criminal investigations teams, ensuring compliance with civil judicial requirements, and creating public messaging and outreach programs; establishing, directing, and coordinating road safety and traffic controls organizations and processes, including regulations, rules and penalties, traffic investigation procedures and policies, and vehicle licensing and registration policies, procedures, and laws; coordinating organizations and teams in planning, coordinating, and directing sensitive site or facilities security, including crowd, access, or route controls; cross organizational and interagency coordination through local, state, regional, or federal levels; crime prevention surveillance technology implementation strategies and R&D plans within the guidelines of federal, state, or local mandates; or developing high quality deliverables using various tools, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Ability to live in MENA for at least 1 year

-Ability to obtain a security clearance


Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with deployments and working overseas

-Experience with foreign military personnel related to security assistance and cooperative programs

-Experience with the Arabic language a plus

-Experience with working in the Middle East a plus

-MA or MS degree preferred
