Quality Assurance Developer

Key Role:

Serve as a senior QA developer in support of a portfolio of mobile, location-based security product to measure quality and apply test cases to code. Create manual test plans and work with bug tracking and release management tools to ensure a quality software release, as necessary. Lead responsibilities, including writing reports, training testers, and assigning tasks. Introduce software quality best practices to help the entire development team produce consistent, quality, and defect-free code on a regular basis. Develop, modify, and execute software test plans to ensure Booz Allen’s products to meet high quality standards. Collaborate with development and deployment teams, design test plans, scenarios, scripts and procedures, develop and execute automated tests and test plans, and document software bugs using tracking system and report bugs to the software development team.


Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with software QA testing

-1+ years of experience with software development

-Experience with standard QA and development tools

-Experience with report writing, including creating status reports based on automation results

-Experience with contributing via development tools, including JIRA, GitHub, or similar tools

-Ability to demonstrate expertise in testing methodologies

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working as part of an Agile team, including Scrum or a related field

-Knowledge of automated testing platforms, tools, and approaches preferred

-Ability to apply quantitative analytical techniques

-Ability to work independently and within teams

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, EE, or a related field preferred
