Quality Assurance Engineer

The Charleston Digital Hub of Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking qualified candidates for a Quality Assurance Engineer in the Charleston, SC area.The Charleston Digital Hub is a software development hub of Booz Allen that operates and executes much like a fast-paced startup within the larger organization. Quality Assurance Engineers strive to make our applications become the very best they can be. It’s their job to hunt down the broken, track the missing, and resolve all issues to help us achieve software perfection.A normal day in the world of QAE would include:


- Leveraging test automation and writing overarching unit tests to cover sections of project functionality

- Writing automated test tools to enhance the productivity and capability of the test teams

- Participating in customer reviews and other project meetings- Providing estimates for project proposals


Basic Qualifications:

- Ability to obtain a security clearance

- Must live in the Charleston, SC area or be willing to relocate

- 3+ years of test experience, with some exposure to automated testing

- The software tester will possess knowledge of at least one development language (Java, C++, C#, etc)

- Programming and scripting proficiency

- Strong knowledge and experience with test methodologies, QA process, and software release cycle

- Solid proficiency in test effort estimation and tracking

- Object oriented programming concepts

- Database fundamentals (SQL)

- High School Diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

- Experience with Agile and Scrum software development methodologies are highly desired

- Strong experience with Web Service and/or automated testing a plus

- Bachelor's degree
