Quality Assurance Specialist, Mid

Key Role:

Serve as a quality assurance (QA) specialist for Bethesda, MD based client. Ensure that the client is conducting its QA system in accordance to both International Organization for Standardization (IOS) or International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 9000, 9001, 9004, and 17025 standards and National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) requirements for ionizing radiation dosimetry. Improve, implement, and assist with the management of the command’s QA system. Manage the Corrective Action Tracking Database (CATD) and the causal analysis, corrective action planning development, and the effectiveness review program. Support data gathering, analysis, and corrective action planning for the corrective action program. Conduct trending analysis on issues identified in the corrective action program and enhance communications by performing a liaison function between all command departments. Support the development or revision of QM manuals and procedures in accordance with current regulatory and administrative requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

-1 year of experience in a quality or process improvement role

-Experience with International Organization for Standardization (IOS) or International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 9000, 9001, 9004, and 17025 standards

-Experience with major computer operating systems, including Microsoft Office applications

-Ability to follow detailed instructions with a high degree of accuracy

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) standards is strongly desired

-Experience managing a small team is desired

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
