Quality Assurance Tester, Senior

Key Role:

Serve as a senior QA tester in support of a portfolio of mobile, location–based security products to measure quality and apply test cases to code. Analyze manual test plans and work with bug tracking and release management tools to ensure a quality software release, as necessary. Lead responsibilities, including writing reports, training testers, and assigning tasks. Introduce software quality best practices to help the entire development team produce consistent, quality, and defect–free code on a regular basis. Develop, modify, and execute software test plans to ensure Booz Allen’s products meet high quality standards. Collaborate with development and deployment teams, analyze test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures, analyze and execute automated tests and test plans, document software bugs using the tracking system, and report bugs to the software development team.

Basic Qualifications:

-7+ years of experience with software QA testing

-Experience with standard QA and development tools

-Experience with report writing, including creating status reports based on automation results

-Experience with contributing via development tools, including JIRA, GitHub, or equivalent

-Ability to demonstrate expertise in testing methodologies

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required
-HS diploma or GED required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working as part of an Agile team, including Scrum or a related field

-Knowledge of automated testing platforms, tools, and approaches preferred

-Ability to apply quantitative analytical techniques

-Ability to work independently and within teams

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, EE, or a related field preferred
