Quality Engineer, Senior

Key Role:
Perform quality assurance for Army client programs, including developing and reviewing specification requirements, establishing life cycle environmental profiles, evaluating engineering change proposals, and supporting PCAs or FCAs for client programs. Review, evaluate, monitor, and report on quality validation plans, reliability program plans, test procedures, and test reports for client programs. Monitor and report vendor acceptance tests, vendors’ technical adequacy, and vendor quality assurance plans and vendor audits for client programs. Work closely with a defense agency, monitor support provided on assigned programs, ensure the establishment of quality assurance letters of instruction (QALIs) and memoranda of agreement (MOA), and review surveillance plans for adequacy. Review, analyze, resolve, and report failed item analysis reports (FIARs) for client programs and ensure root-cause corrective actions are identified and implemented. Maintain quality and reliability and maintainability (RAM) data to SharePoint and collect metrics on system performance and field reliability for client programs. Evaluate product quality deficiency reports (PQDRs) and issues identified by fielding teams and ensure appropriate resolution for client programs.

Basic Qualifications:
-5 years of experience with US Army quality assurance processes for client systems
-Knowledge of failed item analysis reports (FIARs), root-cause analysis, the reliability and maintainability (RAM) process, and product quality deficiency reports (PQDRs) 
-Ability to conduct PCAs or FCAs for client programs, review specification requirements, establish life cycle environmental profiles, and evaluate engineering change proposals
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience as a QA engineer
-Experience with the military, including comprehension of the logistics implications at both the Soldier and Unit level preferred
-Knowledge of PEO Soldier systems
-DAWIA Production, Quality, and Manufacturing Level II Certification
