Quantitative Social Science/Data Analyst

Key Role:

Leverage knowledge of Big Data analysis and communication expertise to convey complex topics simply and concisely. Apply experience in working with medium to large administrative datasets, statistical models, data visualization tools, including Tableau, and database programming tools, including R, VBA, and SQL.  Leverage knowledge of managing and analyzing data from a public health and social science perspective. Validate administrative datasets using a combination of R scripting logic and Excel VBA. Identify and interpret trends in annual reporting metrics into concise and easy-to-comprehend client deliverables. Build custom solutions that automate data validation and analysis. Work closely with researchers on the team to identify statistical design and methodological approaches to support research studies.


Basic Qualifications:

-3 years of experience with performing data management and analysis on medium-to-large administrative datasets

-Knowledge of R packages, including Shiny, DPLYR, PLYR, and data.table 
-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-3 years of experience with performing data management and analysis on medium-to-large administrative datasets in a military or public health setting

-Knowledge of data visualization software, including Tableau

-Ability to possess intellectual curiosity, persistence and creativity in problem solving, perform data management and analysis activities with limited supervision, and work in a team setting

-BA or BS degree in Statistics, Social Science, or a public health field preferred; MA or MS degree in Statistics, Social Science, or a public health field a plus

-Data Science or Proprietary Statistical Package Certification, including SAS
