The Challenge:

As an RTC software developer, you can solve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution built around IBM Rational Team Concert in a fast-paced, agile environment. We’re looking for an developer with the skills needed to build an enterprise level toolkit and development environment supporting numerous software delivery programs.

This role is more than just coding. We need a software developer who will use their passion to learn new tools and techniques, and identify and implement system improvements. You will design and implement software development workflows, develop templates and artifacts in Rational Doors Next Generation (RDNG), build custom automation plugins, reports, and dashboard widgets using RTC tools and software development kits. You’ll apply advanced technical principles, theories and concepts, contribute to development of new principles and concepts, and work on unusually complex technical problems. You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. Join us as we build systems to change our clients for the better.

You Have:

-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-Must live in Charleston, SC or be willing to relocate
-2+ years of experience with developing software using Java or a similar language

-Experience with developing tools for IBM Rational Team Concert
-Experience with architecting large-scale distributed systems in AWS or Azure
-Experience in designing IAAS solutions with one or more of the major Cloud providers, including AWS or Azure
-Knowledge of how to interact with AWS, including AWS SDK, AWS API, Command Line Interface, and AWS CloudFormation and automated deployment or configuration tools
-Knowledge of AWS platform features, capabilities, and all security features and tools that AWS provides at the expert level

-BA or BS degree in CS
 

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with unit testing and automated testing tools

-Experience in using Cloud services, including IAAS, PAAS, or SAAS and integration with non-Cloud environments

-Knowledge of the software development life cycle, test driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
-Knowledge of common application approaches and technologies, including SOA or message queuing and database technologies, such as backup or restoration and replication or mirroring
-Knowledge of disaster recovery strategies and design
-Knowledge of FedRAMP requirements and FISMA security control requirements
-Knowledge of infrastructure layers, including VMWare and Red Hat Linux OS and how to develop hardware specifications to match performance or scalability requirements

-Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, and Web application security and supporting multi-tier Web application architectures
-Security+ or CISSP Certification
