As a reliability engineer on our team, you have the chance to apply expert engineering knowledge and broad-based skills applicable to the acquisitions life cycle to solve major challenges in the design, development, management, manufacturing, fielding, and operational support of air-delivered nuclear weapons systems, equipment, and components with emphasis on analysis, reporting, product improvement, industrial processes, configuration control, and engineering operational functions in support of The Long Range Standoff (LRSO) weapon. Your technical expertise will be vital as you originate and develop analysis methods to determine reliability of components, equipment and processes.

You will also prepare diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations and reports to define reliability problems and make recommendations for improvements.

Reliability engineers supporting the LRSO program will be required to conduct analysis of reliability problems and investigations to determine the required reliability approach for the situation, with consideration given to cost limitations for equipment up-time and downtime, repair and replacement costs and weight, size and availability of materials and equipment. Determine cost advantages of alternatives and develops action plans that comply with internal and external customer demands for reliable processes and equipment to avoid failures. You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with weapon or aerospace systems
  • Experience with reliability engineering processes for defense systems
  • Top Secret clearance
  • MA or MS degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics with 10+ years of experience in Engineering and aerospace or Ph.D. in Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics with 5 years of experience in Engineering and aerospace

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience for long-range or strategic missile system
  • Ability to interact with technical peers and work as part of a team
  • Possession of excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
