Remote Sensing Scientist

Key Role:

Develop system architectures, including in-depth hardware research, component identification, installation and testing, documentation, and project presentation. Develop techniques in software and hardware use to realize large efficiencies in computer resource use. Conduct experiments, investigations, observations, and related research studies into the nature and operation of phenomena in the spectral and infrared field, using the scientific method. Develop theories for understanding, characterizing, and organizing phenomena into a systematic and meaningful pattern for the benefit of project advancement and emerging technologies. Apply and conduct experiments with distributed processing technologies, including Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, Linux Containers, and Docker.

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with remote sensing

-Experience with digital signal processing, image processing, and computer vision
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS, C++, MATLAB, IDL, OGC Standards, Web Service Development, GIS, and SQL

-MA or MS degree preferred
