The Charleston Digital Hub of Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking qualified candidates for a Requirements Analyst position in the Charleston, SC area.

Requirements Analysts provide a crucial link between our clients and development teams. They understand both sides of the game, so they can break down real business problems into functional requirements and user stories. Requirements Analysts are responsible for storyboarding the entire system; they work with everyone from UI/UX designers to solutions architects to test engineers to map the client’s vision. Additionally, they develop and run use cases to ensure the system is functioning properly as intended. The day-to-day of a Requirements Analyst might include:

-Developing specific requirements to serve as the build-to specification for development.

-Serving as the development team representative during user acceptance testing for the purpose of clarifying the intended functional behavior of the software.

-Managing requirements using web based requirements management packages.

-Prioritizing which requirements to include in a specific software release by identifying relationships and dependencies between requirements and estimation of technical effort.

-Serving as the product owner and liaison between the technical team and the client for the purpose of establishing a common understanding of requirements and the as-built product.

-Contributing to the preparation for and delivery of software system demonstrations to the user community.

The Must-Haves:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-Must live in the Charleston, SC area or be willing to relocate

-3+ years of requirements, business, application or systems analysis experience

-Experience working directly with clients to solicit business requirements

-Experience working with a development team to build software solutions  

-HS diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related technical or scientific discipline; May substitute 13+ years of relevant experience


-Familiarity with relational database concepts and SQL

-Systems integration

-Custom software development

-Experience in a variety of roles across the SDLC

-Strong analytical and interpersonal skills

-Great communication skills
