Requirements Manager

Key Role:

Provide Air Force (AF) programmatic support and engineering analysis for the programs and tasks for helicopter programs and science and technology requirements associated with current and future programs. Engage at the AF and national policy issue level and support short notice taskings, including the integrating input and providing a method to assess future program needs. Conduct research to support client input to other MAJCOMs, AF, Joint, and national agencies and provide technical advice, analytical reports, test planning, cost and feasibility analyses, and decision support. Analyze operational requirements of the DoD, provide diverse thinking, and become adept at building and staffing packages, briefings, points, backgrounds, whitepapers, and electronic staffing in response to internal MAJCOM taskings. Analyze present and future AF missions and plans to support the development of operations requirements, analyses, reports, and concepts for current and future system applications, and provide the analysis, program management, and decision support through prepared reviews and comments on the requirements process documents, including Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), Initial Capability Documents (ICDs), Capability Development Documents (CDDs), and Capability Production Documents (CPDs) to determine impacts regarding client missions. Maintain and manage a requirement through a database to provide operational impacts to the fleet, attend high-level organization requirements meetings independently, and report back to the client, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with client maintenance, operations, or security

-5+ years of experience with Air Force operations at the MAJCOM or higher staff level

-2+ years of experience with requirements, requirements development, validation, or management at Air Force MAJCOM

-Experience with successful task and team leadership

-Experience as a competent author, including drafting and editing documents

-Knowledge of the MM III weapon system

-TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-BA or BS degree
