Research Project Scientist

Key Role:

Leverage expertise across the Research and Development (R&D) program planning life cycle. Consult R&D and Science and Technology (S&T) organizations on the best-of-class and enterprise mandated and prescribed policies, processes and procedures to define, develop, acquire, and field prototype show systems or knowledge product and services to satisfy stakeholder needs, including R&D sponsors, S&T constituents and end users. Consult on the application strategies and processes across a logical grouping of programs to ensure strategic alignment with agency objectives and reduce investment overlaps. Leverage knowledge and integrated skills across the S&T domain and within the R&D enterprise and comprehend industry challenges and best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience in performing detailed technical analyses, modeling, and assessments of new ideas for physical consistency, military utility, technology risk, and cost impacts

-Ability to commute to Arlington, VA

-Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple clients

-Ability to assess and analyze in detail complex technical problems.

-Ability to translate complex technical ideas and issues into easily to comprehend, clear and concise briefings

-Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree and 10 years of experience with detailed technical analysis in the field of physics, chemistry, or engineering, MA or MS degree and 5 years of experience with detailed technical analysis in of physics, chemistry, or engineering or PhD in Physics, Chemistry or Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with providing support to senior-level government officials, including SES
