Research Project Specialist, Senior

Key Role:

Support the client in an expansion on the successful transition to practice model. Assist with the development of test and evaluation methodology and technology foraging or scouting strategy, including technology identification and evaluation. Assist the program manager (PM) with administrative and programmatic reviews of technical documentation, proposals, white papers, and other documents to ensure completion and compliance. Prepare internal and external program or project overview and background documents, including project management documentation for the client shared project sites, technical documents, including specific detail about ongoing research, and correspondence, except responses to congressional correspondence or to audits reports, in consultation with the PM. Assist with budget development, execution, and tracking. Assist the PM with the development and maintenance of the current and out-year budgets and spend plans, updating the documents as new efforts start and older efforts complete.

Basic Qualifications:

-7 years of experience in a professional work environment

-Experience with technical documentation, proposal writing, budgeting, tracking, and spend plans

-Experience with Microsoft Office

-Active Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working in a federal R&D organization

-Experience in the elements of successful technology commercialization

-Ability to communicate technology concepts and ideas well, both orally and through a variety of written channels, including social media, summary documents, and press release

-Ability to plan and help execute 3-4 technology demonstration events per year
