Research Protection Analyst

Key Role:

Work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment to analyze potential national security implications posed by forward-leaning research initiatives. Develop approaches for conducting high paced research in an open, public facing environment while simultaneously protecting sensitive information. Facilitate discussions with government program managers and subject matter experts to understand research topics. Conduct independent research to identify worldwide level of interest and the technical capabilities of other foreign governments or commercial organizations relative to the research activity’s technical discipline. Develop classification recommendations. Draft formal documentation, including classification guides, vulnerability assessments of businesses or organizations, periodic program security reviews, and counterintelligence notes. This position is located in the Washington metropolitan area (WMA).

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience as an intelligence analyst

-Experience with researching and synthesizing multiple data sources into analytical assessments

-Experience with preparing finished intelligence reports

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Ability to conduct independent research using various information systems and tools

-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills, including thriving in a team environment

-Possession of excellent organizational skills, including task tracking and file management

-Possession of excellent technical writing skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word


Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
