Risk Analyst, Senior

Key Role:
Work with clients and project teams to develop, implement, and mature current risk management processes and procedures, based upon industry best practices. Assist project team members in identifying risks, writing risk descriptions, and ensuring risk data properly captures risk impacts cost, schedule, and technical. Prepare and present briefings on risk status to varying levels of management. Assist in identifying risk mitigation and burndown strategies. Manage, mentor, and train other team members, as required. Work within a multi-stakeholder, technical, and matrixed organizational environment. Comprehend integrated cost and schedule risk analysis and ICSRA methodologies is beneficial. This position requires travel across Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Basic Qualifications: 
-5+ years of experience with risk management and risk analysis
-2+ years of experience with risk management on large and complex projects 
-Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera, or other scheduling tools beneficial
-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access 

-Experience with enterprise risk management software, including Sword Active Risk Manager, and Deltek Acumen Risk
-Ability to critically assess risk data and communicate priority findings to teams 
-Ability to obtain a security clearance 
-BA or BS degree required 

Additional Qualifications: 

-Experience with supporting programs and contracts within the federal government 
-Experience with performing enterprise risk assessments, facilitating risk workshops

-Experience establishing project management offices and project controls practices
-Experience with government consulting

-Experience training others on risk management best practices 

-Ability to be flexible, show initiative and innovation, and deal with ambiguous and fast-paced situations 

-Ability to assess a situation or process, make recommendations and goals for improvement, develop a plan for implementation, gather inputs and buy-in for the approach, and perform change management

-Ability to manage client and team relationships 

-Ability to influence clients and team to adjust approach and try new capabilities

 -Possession of excellent data gathering, analytical, and problem-solving skills 
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills 
-BA or BS degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance, or Mathematics 

-PMP Certification or PMI-RMP Certification
