Risk Analyst

Key Role:

Serve on a team and review and assess risk–related information for commercial clients in the financial services, pharmaceutical, energy, and retail sectors by leveraging appropriate IT tools, analytic methodologies, and tradecraft. Assess and design risk management programs by providing strategic support to management during all levels of implementation. Assist by crafting use cases and threat models, determine baselines, and apply contextual analyses to assess anomalous events. Deliver recommendations and technology solutions to senior management based on the information compiled and reviewed and perform data gathering, research, and analysis while conducting threat, vulnerability, risk, and maturity assessments. Apply critical thinking, conduct gap analysis, and develop implementation plans for the improvement of the internal management–related program. Develop best practices and lessons learned to contribute to constant innovation and improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with Cybersecurity, security analytics, fraud, threat intelligence, or counterintelligence

-Experience with the following tools, including data loss prevention and end–point detection tools, such as McAfee DLP, Digitial Guardian, or Forcepoint and user behavior analytic tools, such as Securonix, GuruCul, or Exabeam

-Experience with commercial and Open Source data analysis platforms, including Splunk or Hadoop

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Ability to be a self–starter and thrive in a fast–paced environment

-Ability to travel up to 75% of the time

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree in IT, Security, National Security, Criminal Justice, or Cybersecurity

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with writing business and security requirements

-Knowledge of risks, the financial crimes industry, and the fraud threat environment

-Knowledge of fraud and security investigations
