Risk Support Consultant

Key Role:

Support Booz Allen’s commercial clients by leading risk program development, design, and assessment engagements. Maintain responsibility for reviewing and assessing the risk of people, processes, and technologies for commercial clients in the financial services, health and life sciences, energy, and retail sectors. Leverage appropriate IT tools, analytic methodologies, and tradecraft to assess and design risk management programs, design and craft use cases and threat models, assist with implementation of identified use cases, and provide strategic support to management during all levels of implementation. Apply critical thinking, conduct gap analyses, and develop implementation plans for the improvement of the internal management-related program. Translate findings into best practices and lessons learned to contribute to constant innovation and improvement. This position requires travel up to 75% of the time to client site locations.


Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with Cybersecurity, security analytics, fraud, threat intelligence, or counterintelligence

-Experience with data loss prevention and end-point detection tools

-Experience with commercial and open source data analysis platforms, including Splunk or Hadoop

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Knowledge of emerging threats and fraud trends and investigations for financial services

-Ability to be an entrepreneurial self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

-BA or BS degree in IT, Security, National Security, Criminal Justice, or Cybersecurity


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with writing business and security requirements

-Experience with driving change management within an organization

-Knowledge of fraud and security investigations  

-Knowledge of threats, the financial crimes industry, and the fraud threat environment

-Ability to provide a structured methodology and lead change management activities 

-Completion of a Threat Program Management course a plus
