Robotic Capability Developer

Key Role:

Support the development, staffing, and adjudication of Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) documentation for unmanned ground and air systems, including Capabilities Based Analysis (CBAs), Initial Capabilities Document (ICDs), Cost-Benefit Analysis (C-BAs), Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), DOTMLPF Change Recommendations (DCRs), Capability Development Document (CDDs), and Capabilities Production Documents (CPDs). Support requirements processing to the Army Requirements Oversight Committee (AROC) and Joint Requirements Oversight Committee (JROC) briefings and information requests for various Brigade Combat Team (BCT) programs and future technologies applicable to the BCT formations. Approve and validate JCIDS capability documents supporting the Defense Acquisition System (DAS) and Planning, Programing, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) system.

Basic Qualifications:

-3 years of experience as a combat developer

-Experience with Army operations, including Brigade Combat Teams (BCTs)

-Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office tools to perform tasks

-Knowledge of DoD robotics, autonomous systems or programs, and appliques and payloads in technology areas, including autonomy, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotic appliques, interoperability, network security, way point navigation, obstacle avoidance, wireless communications, digital interfaces, algorithm development, power and energy, controllers, and control methods

-Knowledge of JCIDS and its processes and DoD acquisition practices, including planning, coordinating, and implementing capabilities-based programs and supporting the acquisition of a variety of combat arms and robotics-related equipment

-Ability to prepare products for senior Army leaders

-Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time

-Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-Completion of Defense Acquisition University (DAU) CLR 101, Introduction to Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System and ACQ 101, Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of electrical or mechanical engineering, robotics, business management, project management, information systems, or computer science preferred

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree preferred
