What You’ll Do 

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc) 
  • Be the heart and soul of your teams; keep them excited and focused around what is being delivered. 
  • Work closely with clients to identify user business requirements.
  • Lead the support of in-house corporate systems business requirements, as required, interpret business needs and translate them into system requirements.
  • Write business specifications and forward them to technical staff for system development.
  • Keep a pulse on release progress and radiate information to project leadership. 
  • Remove impediments proactively that would prevent your teams from achieving their sprint goals. 
  • Help team or individuals to clarify goals and actions to achieve them. 
  • Develop relationships with clients and leverage knowledge and trusted advice, including interacting directly with senior-level clients.

What You Need 

  • The ability to obtain a security clearance 
  • To live in the Charleston, SC area or be willing to relocate 
  • Scrum Master Certification (CSM) or Product Owner Certification (CSPO) 
  • Direct experience in the roll of a Scrum Master or Business Analyst
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and team building skills, business judgment, and proven expertise in directing the efforts of a technical staff. In-depth knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives 
  • 3+ plus years’ experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner or Agile Coach 
  • 5+ years working within the Agile Framework (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc) 
  • Ability to gather, analyze, organize, and decompose requirements in an Agile environment
  • Possession of excellent writing and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in researching, raising questions, and working with technical SMEs and vendors to seek best practices and solid technical decisions
  • Bachelor’s Degree, in lieu of a degree, 4 years experience in software or engineering 

What Would be Nice 

  • Agile PMI-ACP Certification 
  • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) Certification
  • Experience with distributed development teams which span multiple geographies, time zones and cultures
