Scrum Master

Key Role:
Work day-to-day with an on the ground Agile team to facilitate their delivery, remove impediments, and help them hold one another accountable to each other and their commitments. Act as the champion of the team’s processes and aim to foster empowerment, collaboration, and team ownership of actions and decisions. Implement Scrum practices in software and product development. Provide training to staff outside the Scrum team on Scrum principles. Support Agile in a front-and-center role. Support the Scrum team and track that they have the resources needed, are communicating well, and are shielded from distractions and interruptions.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with software project leadership, including an Agile project management or Scrum Master role

-Experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team that diligently applied Scrum principles, practices, and theories

-Experience with widely successful Agile techniques, including user stories, ATDD, TDD, continuous integration, continuous testing, pairing, automated testing, and Agile games

-Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach, including Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, and handling bugs

-TS/SCI clearance

-BS degree

-Scrum Master Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with DoD clients preferred

-Ability to work with leadership, functional groups, and development teams

-Ability to work independently under general direction

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent mentoring skills
