Security Administrator

Key Role:

Serve as part of the Booz Allen Hamilton corporate security division’s security shared service center and administer US government security policies and procedures related to the suitability and fitness and position of trust personnel security program. Process staff for suitability and act as an intermediary with security offices of various departments and agencies across a variety of contracts, review documentation for accuracy and completeness, and address personnel security matters with employees. Support the integration of additional departments and agencies into the suitability program of the service center and provide additional support to the clearance processing team in accordance with the NISPOM, DCIDs, ICDs, and other government directives. Act as a team player, exhibit flexibility, and manage client expectations in a fast-paced environment. Work within a team environment, meet deadlines, handle assigned tasks individually, and perform additional security duties, as assigned. Support in making decisions, analyzing problems, and assisting with developing focused solutions, including communicating information to various audiences using oral and written communications mediums. Interact with internal and external clients to resolve issues.

Basic Qualifications:

-1+ years of experience with personnel and industrial security

-Experience with JPAS, SWFT, and e-QIP

-Knowledge of suitability, fitness, and position of trust processes and requirements

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) or Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) preferred

-Knowledge of government systems used for tracking clearance and investigation information, including JPAS and Scattered Castles

-Knowledge of HSPD-12, agency directives related to suitability fitness and position of trust, NISPOM, DoD directives, EOs, and ICDs

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills

-BA or BS degree preferred

-Completion of DSS Courses, including Personnel Security Management, Introduction to DoD HSPD-12 Credentialing, and Introduction to Suitability Adjudications

-ISP or FSO Certification preferred
