Security Assessment and Authorization Analyst

Key Role:

Function as an SA&A analyst to support Security Control Assessments (SCA) for systems developed for IT projects. Ensure IT systems are fully tested for UAT and 508. Participate in interviews with respective stakeholders, including the SCA contractor and operations and maintenance staff. Maintain SA&A packages and meet the requirements of client guidance. Respond to findings as a result of the SCA and implement fixes or other controls necessary to reduce the finding level or eliminate the finding. Participate in post-testing activities necessary to obtain and maintain a system's Authority to Operate (ATO).

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with information assurance

-Experience with authoring and updating assessment and authorization (A&A) packages independently

-Experience with developing and executing Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)

-Experience in performing technical security assessments, including vulnerability assessments, security control reviews, and system configuration checks to support ongoing compliance with NIST 800-37

-Experience with planning and reviewing Cybersecurity Test Events, including identifying security controls, analyzing assessment procedures, and reviewing test results

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Section 508 Compliance

-Experience with Cloud and virtual environment security

-Experience with server operating systems

-Experience with performing Cybersecurity risk assessments and mitigation

-Knowledge of enterprise network architectures and topologies

-Public Trust clearance

-CISA, CISSP, or Security+ Certification
