Security Assessment and Authorization Analyst

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for performing security assessment and authorization (A&A) activities as part of a team in accordance with applicable NIST standards. Provide direct support for information security compliance activities, including managing plans of actions and milestones (POA&Ms), supporting the agency's continuous monitoring program, and analyzing the development of information security processes and procedures. Propose the solutions necessary to meet client Cybersecurity requirements.


Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with gathering and organizing technical information about an organization's mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs in computer security during the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs

-Experience with configuring and validating secure systems and testing security products and systems to detect security weakness

-Experience with conducting regular audits to ensure systems are being operated securely and computer security policies and procedures are being implemented, as defined in security plans

-Experience with architecture design, system or network analysis, vulnerability and risk assessments, and security assessment of hardware and software

-Experience with firewall, Cyber, Cloud computing, implementation or configuration, physical security analysis of facilities, security assessment or risk analysis, security design of local area networks and wide area networks, security analysis of network operating systems and applications, continuity of operations, planning, policy development, and disaster recovery

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Security+ or CISSP Certification preferred
