Senior Operations Manager

Key Role:
Serve as the senior operations manager responsible for management of 300+ staff and subcontractors located at multiple client locations and maintain responsibility for supporting the management of operations and coordination of the client’s supply chain. Maintain responsibility for working with the client to analyze and execute standard processes supporting client logistics demands for inventory movement and event scheduling for more than 12,000 events and 200,000 products. Serve as a senior problem solver by using structured methods of problem solving. Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Analyze the development of strategic, operational, and tactical plans, define opportunities for improvement in client operations, and lead the development and structured analysis of client operations. Develop and write technical reports, analysis, and whitepapers. Lead internal and external client meetings and presentations, provide oversight to junior staff, and manage projects, including analysis and reports.

Basic Qualifications:
-10+ years of experience with managing client facing projects on a large, 200+ employee scale
-Experience in working with the US Army, Navy, Marine Corps, or Air Force as a support contractor, including a logistician, logistics specialist, or senior operations manager
-Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies and how to apply them
-Ability to demonstrate subject matter expertise in operations, supply chain management, or workforce deployment
-Ability to report daily to the client site in Washington, DC
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree
-Six Sigma Master Black Belt or Lean Certification
-Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Additional Qualifications:
-10+ years of experience with leading the operations of supply chain-related projects
-Experience with the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA)’s Transition Assistance Program (TAP)
-Public Trust clearance
-MA or MS degree in Operations Management or Business
