SharePoint Administrator

Key Role:

Provide SharePoint administration support to NASA projects, including planning and execution for the migration of a SharePoint major release, including SharePoint version 2010 and 2013 to version 2016. Act independently under general direction and provide technical leadership on complex projects. Configure and troubleshoot SharePoint service applications, including Search, Excel Services, custom Web arts, security groups, and settings. Review SPDockit reports and SharePoint logs, address any issues or alert notices, mount and dismount SharePoint farm sites, patch SharePoint and associated components, install new SharePoint features, including SRSS and BI tools, and participate in requirements, design, and test review sessions. Assist with daily administration and monitoring of SharePoint systems to optimize system resource utilization, interact with developers, system administrators, and other infrastructure teams to coordinate, plan, and perform maintenance activities. Follow policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security, create reports in Microsoft Excel and Access and BMC and SAP Business Objects, run reports requested by the customer, as needed, research, track, resolve, and document customer problems using the Remedy Help Desk application and ServiceNow, and respond to telephone calls, e-mail, and personnel requests for technical support.

Basic Qualifications:

-3 years of experience with SharePoint 2013 and 2016 as a site collection administrator

-3+ years of experience as a SharePoint administrator in a 2013 or 2016 environment in a virtual (VMWare) environment

-Experience with upgrading and migrating SharePoint, including major version upgrades

-Experience with SharePoint Designer and InfoPath

-BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with administering and configuring authentication protocols, SSL, IIS and certificates

-Experience with Microsoft Access and SQL Server and experience administering Microsoft Project Server 2010/13/16 SharePoint or other Microsoft certifications are highly desired

-Experience with developing SharePoint sites and applications

-Knowledge of SharePoint configuration in a Windows environment

-Knowledge of Windows Server, DNS, and Active Directory

-Ability to build maintenance, monitoring, and operations scripts

-Ability to analytically solve problems and determine preventative measures

-Ability to work independently but also to communicate and work with a team

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including giving presentations before application and system owners

-Possession of excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills
-BS degree in CS or a related field
