SharePoint Site Development and Maintenance Engineer

Key Role:

Provide core and shared infrastructure services application development and maintenance services. Implement SharePoint services to raise intelligence product quality and expand information sharing throughout DoDIIS, add, modify, and delete functionality based on client requirements, upgrade and support tools as newer versions are released, improve application and Web performance, and migrate legacy applications and Web services to core and shared infrastructure services. Use government-provided software and tools to perform application and Web development and maintenance services.


Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience in IT with 3+ of those years of experience as a SharePoint farm administrator

-Experience with operations support for a SharePoint farm infrastructure

-Knowledge of SharePoint 2010 and forward architecture, including farm, Web applications, site collections, sites, and lists and various troubleshooting, platform development, and maintenance techniques

-Ability to install, configure, operate, and maintain SharePoint 2010 and 2013

-Ability to develop or follow procedures for managing operations for a SharePoint infrastructure and use SharePoint Central Administration to manage, monitor, provision, and configure SharePoint

-Ability to create SharePoint forms using InfoPath Design, develop and customize sites, and develop and implement master pages, forms, templates, lists, Web parts, and other custom components

-Ability to provide SharePoint out–of–the–box development support, including, forms and workflow creation and maintenance and troubleshooting using SharePoint Designer

-Active TS/SCI clearance required; willingness to take a polygraph exam

-HS diploma or GED and 6 years of experience with IT, AA or AS degree and 4 years of experience with IT, BA or BS degree and 2 years of experience with IT, or MA or MS degree

-DoD 8570 Compliance IAT Level II Certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with applying Microsoft and SharePoint, service packs, cumulative updates, hot fixes, and patches

-Experience with programming in the .NET Framework 3.5 and up

-Experience with DDL Microsoft SQL Server Management, including creating, copying, restoring, and moving databases and using SQL reporting services

-Knowledge of the implementation of SharePoint custom claims-based authentication providers, SAML, forms–based authentication, custom security token service, and directory services, including LDAP and Active Directory

-Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)

-Knowledge of PowerShell 3.0 and forward scripting

-Knowledge of the migration of SharePoint farms from older versions to later releases
