Ship Acquisition Configuration Manager

Key Role:

Provide professional services got configuration management processes and procedures. Identify and create strategies supporting the accurate configuration of naval surface ships, including all installed systems, equipment, and components, system arrangements, and integration of combat and HM&E systems. Define and track multiple versions and instances of platforms and systems deployed, customized per unique platform and customer requirements. Ensure version control processes, policies, and procedures are followed on platforms and systems within the program. Apply expertise in NAVSEA and industry standards and best practices for managing shipboard configuration. Interface with government technical project managers to ensure support provided meets or exceeds all work performance objectives and standards.   

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with US Navy ships and shipboard systems in configuration management, acquisition, operation, maintenance, and life cycle sustainment 

-Experience with the design, construction, and fleet introduction of naval ships, including design changes, ship alterations, and identification of how these alterations affect configuration, operations, training, and life cycle sustainment 

-Experience with evaluating and processing ship design Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and and Proposed Change Work (PCW) submissions 

-Knowledge of the DoD acquisition process, including regulations, directives, and statutes, such as the Navy’s application of the DoD acquisition process 

-Active Secret clearance 

-BA or BS degree preferred

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with US Navy platforms, surface and air-launched weapon, C4I, Sensor, and Electronic Warfare systems 

-Experience with Foreign Military Sales program a plus
