Software Assurance Policy Analyst

Key Role:

Work as a Cybersecurity and software assurance policy analyst to support a strategic HQ Department of Army organization, apply knowledge of Cybersecurity policies at DoD and Army Level, and comprehend the relationship between policies. Provide analytical support for the development of Cybersecurity policies, comprehend software assurance, the software life cycle, and the Risk Management Framework and comprehend roles and responsibilities, the executed the process, and the Cybersecurity controls. Conduct Cybersecurity policy research and analysis and propose new Cybersecurity policies.

Basic Qualifications:
-8+ years of experience with Army or DoD
-5+ years of experience with Cybersecurity, information assurance, and software assurance
-5+ years of experience with IT or Cybersecurity policy analysis and writing
-Knowledge of Army and DoD organizational structure
-Knowledge of the software assurance and Risk Management Framework process and policy

-Ability to display a proactive nature and approach to tasks

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Ability to coordinate with the subject proponents and participate in working groups

-Ability to research Cybersecurity policies, software assurance, and RMF roles and responsibilities to identify and propose software requirements for system owners and authorizing officials

-Ability to review Cybersecurity controls and draft the list of inherited controls and control implementation prioritization method and contribute to identifying inherited controls

-Ability to support the update of AR 25-2, develop clarifying guidance for focus areas, including Software Assurance Department of Army Pamphlet IAW Army Regulation 25-2, Assess and Authorize (A&A) and Assess Only applicability, and RMF applicability to ACAT I-III, and identify required policy changes in this area.

-Ability to support the planning and coordination for Cybersecurity summits, working groups, and industry day

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent collaboration skills

-DoDI 8570 Standards Certification
