Software Code Evaluator, Mid

Key Role:
Apply Java and Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE) object–oriented programming languages to design and develop software. Leverage software development and assurance experience to help develop and sustain Web–based applications that facilitate workflows for data integration, business logic, and implementation of data persistence, custom report generation, and integration with the user interface. Support Army clients and key stakeholders in the identification and implementation of system requirements and features. Implement and test features using Java and JavaScript server–side and client–side frameworks. Perform software development in virtual environments, including Linux and Oracle using vSphere and VMware.

Basic Qualifications:
-2+ years of experience with Web–based software development and object–oriented programming using Java
-2+ years of experience in developing and integrating with DBMS, including Oracle using Java technologies and Object Relational models
-1 year of experience with configuring and maintaining a JEE Web application server
-Experience with using and maintaining build scripts to facilitate consistent builds, including Maven

-Experience with performing and documenting software designs by creating sequence, class, communication, deployment, or activity diagrams
-Ability to draft portions of technical documents, including software version descriptions, system design documents, and test scripts
-Ability to be a motivated self–starter, learn quickly, and be willing to research new software development and analysis tools and techniques
-Ability to work productively with a team and to support client meetings and deliverables 
-Active Secret clearance required
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications: 
-Experience with Oracle Database or Oracle Database administration
-Experience with code development using IEEE or CMMI best practices

-Experience in working with DoD evaluation requirements and processes
-Knowledge of Scrum or other Agile development methodologies
-Ability to use issue tracking tools, including JIRA or Confluence
-Ability to use and configure continuous integration, including Jenkins
-Ability to use and configure virtual machines, including VirtualBox or VMware

-Ability to travel to CONUS customer sites between 10–15% of the time
-Possession of excellent problem–solving skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-TS/SCI clearance
-BS degree in CS, EE, or a related technical field
