Software Configuration Manager

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for tools and processes for a large, enterprise level system in a fast-paced, agile, client-oriented environment. Analyze and propose innovative approaches, including tools, processes, methods, and plug-ins for continuous enhancement of client software engineering and deployment processes. Maintain responsibility for a configuration management plan and compliance with the plan for each project or development task. Provide guidance to the government program manager and contractor development teams regarding methods, procedures, and requirements for program and system documentation and CM milestones. This position is located in Rome, NY.


Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with enterprise system engineering, including supporting the development, integration, deployment, and ongoing production of integrated software systems

-Experience in the integration of CM tools with Agile processes, including building and deploying tools to create and support Agile operations, such as automating builds and deployments

-Experience with measuring and monitoring progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and meet or exceed expectations

-Knowledge of CM dashboards and wall stability pages for various environments, including managing risks and resolving issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality

-Ability to perform software configuration management for multiple enterprise applications incorporating CI and CD

-Ability to define, implement, and improve the release management process

-Ability to adhere to, maintain, and enhance enterprise-level configuration management policies, processes, and procedures

-Ability to plan and coordinate release schedules and cycles with all necessary teams

-Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

Experience with maintaining libraries of incident reports (IRs) and software trouble reports (STRs) for IT programs and program-related activities and providing client access via Web Portal or other services

-Experience with requirements management and CM tools, including RequisitePro, ClearCase, or ClearQuest

-Experience in coordinating CM issues with development contractors and external source system Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and Configuration Management Boards (CMBs)

-Knowledge of configuration management and automation tools, including JIRA, Stash, Subversion, Confluence, and Jenkins

-Ability to conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business Go and No-Go

-Ability to work with build engineers to comprehend the impact of branches and code merges

-Ability to research and prototypes of new tools and technologies to meet new business requirements and evolving technical requirements, including an automated software development and delivery pipeline, DevOps integration, and automated deployment
-TS/SCI clearance preferred
