Software Developer (Mid)

Key Role:

Design, develop, test, and maintain software in a variety of programming languages, including Java, C#, C++, and MATLAB. Analyze user requirements and develop system and software design specifications. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems. Write and update technical documentation, including user manuals and training materials.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with designing and developing software in a Windows environment with a strong emphasis on usability, reliability, and maintainability

-Experience with object-oriented design principles and programming languages, including Java, C#, C++, or similar

-Experience with EA and other similar applications

-Experience with database creation and SQL

-Experience with MATLAB

-Ability to obtain a secret clearance

-BS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, EE, or a related technical field

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience developing Windows GUI applications including, Java Swing, C# Windows Forms, and Qt

-Experience with GIS and mapping software, including Nasa WorldWind, ArcGIS, SIMDIS, or Google Earth, version control systems, including Git or Subversion, the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira or Confluence, and relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL

-Experience with Agile delivery methodologies

-Knowledge of DoD Cybersecurity requirements and accreditation process.

-Ability to be a self-starter, manage competing priorities, multi-task, and continue to meet all deadlines, while remaining flexible with continually changing priorities

-Ability to set realistic client expectations and deliver at or above those expectations

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.

-Active Secret clearance

-MS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, EE, or a related technical field
