Software Development Chief Technologist

Key Role:

Act as a digital health lead with a focus on modern software development, Cloud architecture, including on-prem, hybrid, and public, containerization, infrastructure as code, DevOps Agile, and open source solutions. Provide overall digital vision, capture strategy, and delivery of digital platform solutions across the health market, including Health and Human Services (HHS), FDA, CMS, NIH, CDC, CMS, VA, and commercial health and life sciences. Lead existing administrative, capability, and matrixed delivery teams to conceive, architect, assemble, and operate transformational digital platform solutions for clients to migrate from closed to open Agile enterprises. Build capacities to position the team and the firm for modern software development focused on digital platforms for the firm. Work with industry and academic partners and accelerators to identify the latest trends, perform technology proofs on minimum viable products (MVPs), and provide viewpoints in industry for the future of digital health platforms and open Agile solutions. Align solutions with business needs, create innovative approaches to address market and client requirements, and display relationships with technology vendors or startup companies. Mentor, develop, and manage highly productive leaders who can develop innovative solutions and create business opportunities.


Basic Qualifications:

-14+ years of experience with defining, establishing, and leading modern software development and technology transformation projects

-14+ years of experience with business strategy and program and solution delivery

-10+ years of experience with .Net or Java architecture, design, and development, Spring and Hibernate, services, including middle-tier, microservices, or Web services, and design, development, and operations

-7+ years of experience with web APIs, including RESTful and JSON

-4+ years of experience with Cloud computing and Microsoft or open source solutions

-2+ years of experience with containerization and deploying Docker and Docker Datacenter and Cloud solutions

-Experience with the development of new solutions, service offerings, and game-changing innovations from ideation to build to go-to-market

-Ability to travel frequently

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in building and leading strategic partnerships or alliances and leveraging existing relationships with companies preferred

-Experience with Cloud program shaping and capture

-Experience with proposal development and management

-Experience with government acquisition and program delivery

-Experience with commercial program delivery

-Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Docker

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Public Trust clearance

-BS degree in Engineering, CS, or a related field preferred; MS degree in Engineering, CS, or Management a plus
