Key Role:
Perform complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer software in support of distinct product hardware or technical service lines of businesses. Perform activities ranging from software design and operating architecture integration to computer system selection. Apply knowledge of one or more systems and extensive knowledge of one or more platforms and programming languages. Work independently and drive the work to completion. Assist with junior software engineer staff. This position is located in Rome, NY.
Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with network programming, XML, data parsing, integration with different services, code configuration management (git), and virtual machines, including Vagrant and Virtual Box
-Knowledge of the newest Java and Python technologies
-Knowledge of systems engineering and DI2E
-Secret clearance
-BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Agile development
-Knowledge of message queues, SOA, DB, C, or C++
-Ability to work alone or in a group
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-BS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred; MA or MS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or related field a plus
-CISSP, CEH, or Java Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
