Software Engineer/Systems Administrator, Mid

Key Role:
Formulate or define system scope and objectives under general direction. Analyze or modify procedures to solve complex problems while considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Design, code, test, debug, and document those programs.

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with software engineering, including Java/J2EE, C++, and Python and Tomcat or Wildfly
-Experience in standing up, developing against, and working with Hadoop, Accumulo, or Solr
-Experience with the design and development of a Web UI/UX
-Experience with UNIX and Windows administration
-Experience with Shell/PowerShell scripting and developing dynamic Web pages on apache httpd
-Experience with Agile processes and tools, including JIRA or Bitbucket , plus knowledge of the ip protocol stack and its workings
-TS/SCI clearance required
-BA or BS degree required
-CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Graph DB, including Tinkerpop, Giraph, or similar
-Knowledge of D3 and 3D visualization
-Knowledge of version control systems, including cvs, git, or bitbucket
-Ability to use automated build systems, including ant or maven
-Ability to use automated testing, including junit or jtest
-Ability to work both in a team and independently
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including articulating to the team and government clients
-BA or BS degree in CS, Network Engineering, or a related field preferred; MA or MS degree in a related field a plus
-Windows, Windows Server, Red Hat, Linux+, or other operating system certifications preferred
 

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
